OnSeptember 12th-14th, HEBAUheld grandOpeningCeremonyand welcomingcultural performances for the 2024 freshmen at Baoding campus, Bohai campus, and Qinhuangdao campus, welcoming over 12000 freshmen to join the big family of HEBAU. At the opening ceremony, Zhang Lijie,President of HEBAU, warmly welcomed the arrival of freshmen on behalf of all faculty, studentsand staffofHEBAU. He delivered a speech titled“Gathering the Strength of Youth Struggle, Courageously Shouldering the Mission of Strengthening Agricultureand Promoting Agricultural Development",and gave each freshman representative anemblemwhichsymbolizesthe spirit of HEBAU.

The cultural performancesaredivided into three parts: "Welcome,Freshmen", "ILoveYou, HEBAU", and "WishingYou,Motherland", which brought many surprises to thestudents. For example,HEBAU sent birthday wishes to 16freshmenon that day, and 1000 unmanned aerial vehicles displayed brilliant light and shadow changes in the night sky about themes such as welcoming Freshmen, spreading the Taihang Mountain Spirit and Li Baoguo Spirit ofHEBAU, and celebrating the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.
